The Cultivation of Tobacco
This video includes all the basic stages of cultivation and the first stages of processing in the tobacco storehouses of Agrinio.
The first part refers to the cultivation of the tsebeli variety of tobacco.
The second part refers to the processing of tobacco in the storehouses. The third part refers to the cultivation of the Virginia variety.

Art and tobacco
1993, was a time when it seemed that the cultivation of tobacco would disappear. At that time, the cultural centre of the Municipality of Agrinio presented a painting exhibition made by tobacco producer Nonta Kokkio.
This exhibition caused interest outside the Agrinio area.
It was also featured on the Mega Channel “Breakfast Window” show by Yannis Dimaras with Rika Vagianni.
The exhibition pieces were then purchased by the Municipality of Agrinio and until now they remain in the storerooms of the Capralos Gallery!

My mother you grow tobacco
In December 2014, my grandmother Chryssoula,a tobacco producer (grower) since childhood, goes along with my brother to watch a play about the history of tobacco in the city of Agrinio. Thus, a recursion is set in order to bring that forgotten era back to memory and make its residents reminisce about the city’s past.
